What is XNET Mobile?

NextHow XNET Works

Last updated 12 days ago

Demand for fast and reliable mobile connectivity continues to grow as the rapid pace of data demand surges. Traditional Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) and Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MNVOs) are struggling to keep up. MNOs and MNVOs are desperately looking for zero-CapEx access to alternative coverage through Carrier Grade Wi-Fi offload. This is where XNET comes in. A decentralized, neutral-host network designed to efficiently manage and offload mobile data traffic. XNET empowers individuals and businesses to contribute to network infrastructure, creating a scalable, secure, and cost-effective solution for mobile connectivity challenges.

By harnessing the power of community-deployed hotspots, XNET transforms traditional telecom approaches, reducing CapEx and enhancing 5G network reliability.

Proven in Production

XNET’s decentralized network is live and battle-tested—serving over 12 million devices to date. With active , our infrastructure now provides potential reach to 150+ million subscribers across the U.S.

Real traffic. Real scale. Real results.

Our Mission

XNET's mission is to deliver seamless connectivity and robust coverage through decentralized technology. We aim to bridge the gaps left by traditional mobile networks, particularly in high-density or underserved regions, by incentivizing community involvement and infrastructure development.

Through a decentralized approach, we ensure more resilient, scalable, and affordable connectivity solutions that directly benefit Carriers, MSP/ISPs, Deployers, and end-users alike.

The Gist

When a user enters an area with a XNET Wi-Fi Access Point, their mobile device automatically transitions from cellular data to the XNET Passpoint network via Hotspot 2.0 technology. This handoff happens silently—no user action required—creating a seamless, secure, and efficient system for offloading data.

Devices are authenticated using carrier-issued credentials, ensuring only authorized users connect. The result? A better experience for users, reduced congestion for carriers, and passive earnings for XNET operators—all while preserving the integrity of the 5G network.

Technology Stack

XNET leverages advanced technologies to build its decentralized network:

  • Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0): Allows automatic and secure connection to Wi-Fi hotspots without terms & conditions or captive portals ensuring smooth user experiences.

  • Neutral-Host Network Model: Enables participation by any MNO/MVNO, creating an infrastructure open to all mobile carriers no matter their subscriber base.

  • Blockchain Technology: Built on the Solana blockchain, XNET ensures rapid transactions, transparent reward systems, and secure decentralized governance.
