The XNET Foundation Working Group is established to steward the long-term sustainability and growth of the XNET ecosystem. The group serves on behalf of the XNET community as a whole, formalizing and advocating for the community’s goals, and strives to achieve consensus among all parties as part of the governance process.
The XNET Foundation Working Group mandate includes, but is not limited to:
Promoting decentralization and community governance
Evaluating and implementing strategies to enhance network security and prevent potential vulnerabilities.
Collaborating with the community to shape balanced and innovative tokenomics oversight, ensuring the ecosystem’s long-term sustainability.
Facilitating communication and collaboration between the XNET community of stakeholders and external partners, fostering partnerships and alliances that will contribute to the project's overall growth.
Conducting research and analysis to identify areas of improvement and innovation within the XNET ecosystem.
During this iteration of the charter, the XNET Working Group shall receive community feedback and propose XIPSs for community voting on the following areas:
Token emissions structures
Inflation/deflation mechanisms
Staking system designs
Governance mechanisms
Initial Term (First 6 Months)
The Working Group (WG) starts with 3–5 volunteer (self-nominated) members.
They serve a 2-month trial period to confirm fit and commitment.
After the 2-month trial, the XNET Foundation confirms which members will continue for the remaining 4 months of this initial 6-month term.
If a member isn’t meeting expectations, they can be replaced during the trial period.
Subsequent Terms
At the end of the 6-month term, each member who wants to remain must have a majority approval from the current WG members.
If a member does not receive majority approval, that seat becomes vacant, and an election (or open nomination) is held to fill it.
Adding Members
The XNET Foundation can add members at any time, up to a maximum of 5 total, to fill unexpected vacancies or meet workload needs.
This structure provides a clear trial phase for new members, ensures that only contributing members remain after the initial term, and allows for periodic renewal or replacement to keep the WG effective.
